SAFE LIVING SPACE MISSION
Safe Living Space is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to brain injury awareness through research and education. Safe Living Space conducts innovative research to uncover the true impact of brain injury across communities and life experiences. Through data-driven studies and collaborative partnerships, we work to improve identification and care. We are committed to educating professionals and the public—providing accessible, evidence-based information and resources to deepen understanding and drive meaningful change in brain injury awareness.
Safe Living Space: Redefining Brain Injury Research & Education
Safe Living Space is transforming how professionals and the public understand, identify, and respond to traumatic brain injury (TBI). Concussions and brain injuries are among the most common yet under-recognized health crises today.
Every year, millions of individuals suffer brain injuries due to domestic violence, homelessness, human trafficking, sports, falls, and accidents. Despite the prevalence of these injuries, a staggering number of people never receive a formal diagnosis or the care they need.
Building Safer Communities
Through our combined research and education approach, Safe Living Space elevates professional standards and fosters a culture of safety and compassion—helping communities make informed decisions, reduce risk, and improve outcomes where people live, work and play.
Advancing Brain Injury Research
We conduct rigorous, community-based studies to pinpoint where brain injury is most frequently overlooked. Our research bridge the gap between clinical data and real-world application by:
Identifying key risk factors and long-term cognitive impacts.
Uncovering diagnostic gaps in underserved populations.
Developing evidence-based tools for healthcare, social services, and education professionals.
Expanding Brain Injury Education
Knowledge is the first step toward recovery. Safe Living Space provides accessible training for students, medical professionals, and the general public. Our educational programs focus on:
Recognizing Signs: Identifying physical, cognitive, and behavioral changes.
Public Awareness: Empowering communities to spot the "invisible" symptoms of brain injury and concussion.
