Brain Injury awareness where you

live, work, and play.

SAFE LIVING SPACE MISSION

Safe Living Space is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to brain injury awareness through education. Safe Living Space conducts innovative research to uncover the true impact of brain injury across communities and life experiences. Through data-driven studies and collaborative partnerships, we work to improve identification and care. We are committed to educating professionals and the public—providing accessible, evidence-based information and resources to deepen understanding and drive meaningful change in brain injury awareness.

OUR IMPACT

Safe Living Space is transforming how professionals and the public understand, identify, and respond to brain injury—one of the most common and under-recognized health issues affecting people across all communities. Millions experience brain injuries each year from domestic violence, homelessness, human trafficking, sports, falls, and accidents, yet many never receive a diagnosis.

Advancing Research
Safe Living Space conducts rigorous, community-based studies to uncover where brain injury is most often missed. This research identifies key risks, long-term impacts, and diagnostic gaps, leading to evidence-based tools and practices that help professionals across healthcare, social services, education, and housing systems recognize and respond to brain injury more effectively.

Expanding Education
The organization provides accessible training and educational opportunities for students, professionals, and the public. These programs build understanding of brain injury signs, cognitive and behavioral changes, and strategies for safer communication and care.

Building Safer Communities
Through our combined research and education approach, Safe Living Space elevates professional standards and fosters a culture of safety and compassion—helping communities make informed decisions, reduce risk, and improve outcomes where people live, work and play.
